Mascots encourage people to view and remember a message. DENKie created two heroes as mascots for Group Suerickx: the Superickxen! We also created several figures representing the employees, team leaders and other people at Group Suerickx.

For Group Suerickx we created an image bank with photos of (un)safe situations and life saving rules. For this, our photographer visited a construction site and the offices of Group Suerickx, wearing PPE of course! DENKie provided practical support, including models to depict the different situations.

For the launch campaign within Group Suerickx, DENKie created a 2D animation in 8 languages in which the life saving rules are clearly discussed. The launch campaign is added onto the DENKie training platform with an additional quiz to test knowledge. Life-size signs in the warehouse, office and refectory ensure publicity within the company. An accompanying poster and leaflet complete the package and ensure that all employees on the construction sites are informed!

Safety is a top priority on the construction sites where Group Suerickx is active and very high standards apply in the chemical sector where they are very active. That is why DENKie created 2D animation videos in 8 languages with the necessary instructions and guidelines for the employees and contractors per site. A quiz assesses knowledge after watching the video and provides an access certificate if passed. On the access platform, the correct site is selected to make the relevant video visible. Thanks to the data in the platform, it is possible to see at any time who is still present on which site, who has obtained the necessary certificates and at what time they registered or deregistered. With this approach, Group Suerickx shows its clients that safety is a top priority.

STOP–CALL–WAIT–GO & LMRA in practice

To make safe behavior visible on the work floor, we developed a campaign around STOP–CALL–WAIT–GO and LMRA. It translates these principles into a clear reflex: first stop and think, then consult, and only start when it is safe to do so. Through video, posters, and pocket cards, the message was widely communicated.

In addition, supervisors were supported with compliment and warning cards that they can actively use on site. This gives them concrete tools to address behavior, speak up to employees, and lead by example.

This creates a shared language on the work floor, where employees speak up to one another and consciously choose safety, every
single day.
