The client’s request

Altebra wanted to encourage its employees to reflect on four key safety themes in an interactive and hands-on way. The challenge was to find a way not only to explain this content, but to let employees truly experience it, so they would become more engaged, alert, and confident in their day-to-day work situations.

Our solution

We developed a fully customized Safety Day. With a recognizable visual style, a new mascot, and interactive sessions guided by experts, we turned safety into an experience that truly sticks. The action card and pocket booklet ensured that participants carried their insights with them throughout the day and could continue applying them afterwards.

Recognizable characters and a unique mascot

Safety works better when employees can recognize themselves.
That’s why we created characters based on real Altebra employees and developed a friendly dragon as a mascot and guide throughout the Safety Games. This visual style was consistently reflected across all materials: from screen visuals to action cards, posters, and the pocket booklet.

Interactive sessions that get employees moving

Across four rotating sessions, participants worked on topics such as working at height, reporting behavior, LMRA, and safety awareness. Each session started with a short introduction by an expert and evolved into an interactive activity, such as statements where participants physically took a position, posters depicting realistic work situations where teams assessed risks, or game elements like a code-breaker and a memory game. By actively participating, employees reflected on their own choices and behavior.

Action card and pocket booklet as a common thread

At the start, all participants received an action card that they used throughout the day to collect answers, insights, and examples. The card remained personal, allowing everyone to think freely and make notes in their own way. After the final session, they handed in their completed slip and received a pocket booklet bringing together the most important safety tips, along with a mint tin as a modest yet lasting keepsake. This ensured the impact of the Safety Day remained visible even after the event.
