The client’s request

GBfoods is a global player that owns many well-known brands, such as Liebig, Royco and Devos&Lemmens. Safety is extremely important in the food sector. That is why GBfoods approached DENKie with a request for internal communication around an optimal safety and sustainability culture.

Our solution

There’s no arguing about taste, and certainly not about safety. After an interactive DENKie workshop, we created numerous tools for GBfoods to raise awareness about safety in the workplace and to optimise it.

What a workshop!

Anyone who has ever sat around the table with our DENKie team knows that this is where the most creative and effective campaigns are developed. This is how the various areas around which the safety campaigns will revolve came about.

Brand new HR and HSE branding

Meet GilBert. He is the mascot who, together with other fun characters, will be providing GBfoods employees with tips from now on. Together, they are doing everything they can to ensure a pleasant and safe working environment! GilBert & co are launching the HSE branding and campaign in a DENKie video. Payed attention? Then you’re sure to score well in the quiz!

Kick-off

The first safety campaign focusing on PPE was successfully launched during Safety Week. GBfoods provides its employees with all kinds of tips and tricks via an informative DENKie video. Life-sized signs in the production area remind them of the most important aspects. Safety can also be presented in an appealing way, as the search picture proves. Anyone who can spot all the mistakes has a chance to win a gift voucher.

Safety tastes like more

Safety is paramount at GBfoods throughout the year. DENKie compiled various quarterly topics with and for them under the annual theme “Celebrating local flavours”. In this way, GBfoods highlights a different aspect of safety each time: hand hygiene, for example, is very important. The campaign on foreign and prohibited objects is also crucial in the food industry.

A smooth start!

Good onboarding is essential for new employees to get off to a smooth start. A well-thought-out onboarding process not only increases productivity, but also contributes to engagement and job satisfaction. With DENKie Safetyboarding, we developed an onboarding programme tailored to GBfoods. The e-learning course covers topics such as internal traffic, evacuation, food safety and general safety rules.

Safety at a global level

GBfoods is an international player in the food industry with various branches around the world. We launched the DENKie videos in different languages so that the guidelines on food safety could be understood by a larger group of employees. We also adapted the characters for the African branches to create a more inclusive image and greater recognisability among employees.
