The client’s request

Heraeus Electro-Nite wanted to organize a Safety Day that would actively engage both office employees and operational teams around ergonomics, safe behavior, and risk awareness. The challenge was to make the content equally impactful for two very different target groups, using practical situations that directly relate to their respective workplaces. Heraeus was looking for a learning experience that gets employees moving and is immediately applicable on the work floor.

Our solution

We developed a series of interactive sessions that rotated throughout the day, each guided by a DENKie expert. Both office and production employees took part in a mix of movement, insight, play, and realistic case studies. All tools were designed in the recognizable Heraeus style and aligned with the risks and processes on site.

Movement sessions and ergonomics tailored to office and production environments

During the movement sessions, employees experienced how small adjustments in posture and movement can make a big difference. Office teams focused on sitting behavior and micro-exercises, while operational teams practiced lifting, reaching, and using aids such as the Hovmand lift. The sessions were accessible, visually engaging, and immediately applicable to their daily tasks.

Office employees learn how to safely enter the production area

Using a large search illustration based on the real production environment, office colleagues examined ten risk situations and assessed them using their action card. Working in small teams, they discovered which hazards are often overlooked and which actions are needed to enter the area safely. The expert then linked their insights to the key risks and the practical tips from the pocket booklet.

Operational teams work with realistic games

For operational employees, we created two interactive themed sessions. In the PPE Match & Bingo game, teams linked chemical scenarios to the correct protective equipment using numbered pictogram cards. In the internal transport session, teams worked with the Safety Zone Challenge: a large exercise board on which they identified safe walking routes, risk points, and zones around forklifts. By discussing together what is safe or unsafe and directly linking it to their own work floor, the game became highly recognizable and very practical.

Pocket booklets and materials for lasting impact

After their session, all participants received a pocket booklet containing the key safety tips, ergonomic focus points, and behavioral guidelines from their workshop. Each team also received mint tins as a modest, lasting keepsake that reinforces their new insights. Thanks to the visual tools, action cards, and search illustrations, the impact of the Safety Day remains clearly visible on the work floor long after the event.
