Learning through realistic situations
The Life Saving Week started with situations that employees immediately recognize from their daily work. Through statements, they discussed risks and linked them to the Life Saving Rules. The maze quiz helped them discover step by step how each rule works and how a single wrong choice can affect the entire process.
Constructive communication through role play
Safety requires the courage to speak up to one another. Using dilemma cards and role cards, participants practiced concrete situations, from a colleague without PPE to unsafe positions during lifting operations. By experiencing both roles, teams gained more confidence to do this in practice as well, in a respectful and clear manner.
Understanding what is, and is not within your influence
Using the Circle of Influence cards, employees reflected on their own role in safety. They discovered which actions they can take themselves and when consultation, reporting, or support is needed. These insights formed an important foundation for the discussions during the sessions.
Pocket booklets and reminders for lasting impact
After their session, participants received a pocket booklet containing the Life Saving Rules, tips for safe behavior, and practical guidelines for PPE, working at height, and internal traffic. In addition, each team received mint tins as a small keepsake to help them remain alert and engaged even after the Life Saving Week.
