The client’s request

Owens Corning wanted to make the onboarding process for contractors and visitors clearer and more efficient, while continuing to invest in ongoing safety awareness and employee training. Rather than isolated initiatives, the goal was to create a consistent approach that keeps safety top of mind, both from day one and throughout daily operations.

Our solution

We implemented the Safetyboarding platform and developed onboarding videos for contractors and visitors, tailored to the realities of the site. In addition, Owens Corning actively uses the Toolboxies training platform, combining company-specific training courses with the Toolboxies library. This creates a strong combination of effective onboarding and continuous workplace training.

Safetyboarding platform

Through the Safetyboarding platform, contractors and visitors gain access to clear onboarding videos before entering the site. The contractor video was developed in six languages, allowing everyone to follow the safety instructions in their own language. The content is based on relatable, real-life situations and clearly communicates expectations regarding behaviour and safety. Visitors also receive tailored onboarding, adapted to their role and presence on site.

Toolboxies Training Platform

In addition to onboarding, Owens Corning places a strong emphasis on continuous training through the Toolboxies platform.

Employees have access to both company-specific training courses and the Toolboxies library, ensuring that safety, quality and behaviour are regularly brought back into focus.

The combination of company-specific content and existing modules makes it possible to respond quickly to current topics and roll out training programmes across the organisation.
