Approach in brief
No traditional training, but learning by doing. Participants immediately got to work with familiar workplace situations and realistic dilemmas. By assessing risks together and making choices, valuable discussions emerged around risk perception, risk tolerance, and behavior under pressure.
The strength lay in:
• Interaction and dialogue between participants
• Sharing experiences across sectors
• Gaining insight into how behavior changes under pressure
• Making safety a topic of conversation in an accessible way
From insight to action
The session doesn’t stop at insight. Participants translated their experiences into concrete actions and practical tools for the workplace. They were also given access to the SHEQ toolkit: a set of visual and hands-on tools to further embed the theme within their organization.
Think of:
• Posters with clear key messages
• Practical tools to make risks a topic of discussion
• Materials that help teams keep the conversation going
This way, safety doesn’t remain a one-off session, but becomes an ongoing story on the work floor.
From session to practice
The insights from this Safety Culture Club were immediately carried forward into the DENKie Toolboxies.
The Toolboxies video on risk assessment was developed based on the input from the session. Familiar situations and typical considerations were translated into a short, visual video that encourages employees to handle risks more consciously.
