Kortemark site - Hand Safety Experience
At the Kortemark site, hand safety took centre stage in a highly experience-based session. Participants worked with physical limitations and experienced first-hand the impact of a hand injury on their daily tasks. What normally seems self-evident suddenly became difficult, making the risks tangible.
Through interactive assignments and a final challenge around safe choices, it became clear how quickly routine and time pressure can lead to mistakes and how these can be prevented.
Zonnebeke site - Safe behaviour from different perspectives
At the Zonnebeke site, we worked with three interactive sessions on PPE, LMRA and ergonomics. Through statements, games and practical exercises, employees entered into dialogue about their daily choices: when do you wear PPE, how do you deal with time pressure, and how do you protect your body in the long term?
The combination of themes ensured a broad approach, translating safety into concrete behaviour on the shop floor.
Rumst site - Recognising risks and making them open for discussion
At the Rumst site, the focus was on risk perception and making conscious choices. Using statements and dilemma cards, teams analysed recognizable work situations and discussed risks, consequences and possible actions.
This way, safety was not only addressed, but also actively discussed and translated into concrete improvements and agreements within the team.
From a one-day initiative to a lasting safety culture
By working with interactive games, recognizable situations and strong visual tools, safety was translated into something employees could experience and discuss themselves.
Not as rules imposed from above, but as conscious choices on the shop floor. This helped safety at Wienerberger grow into a shared responsibility, visible in behaviour, collaboration and everyday decisions.
