Daniel Kahneman describes two ways of thinking in Thinking, Fast and Slow: System 1 and System 2. With System 1 thinking, you make decisions based on your experiences and intuition. This happens quickly, without you having any conscious control over it. In contrast to System 2, where you consciously reason logically. With nudges we play on the intuitiveness of System 1 to make behavioral changes come true!
